Donna Krumrine, Joan Armstrong, and brother Thomas Roush (my father) send their sympathy on the loss of Betty, a dear friend from their childhood in Pleasant Gap and as adults. My aunt Joan, Betty Jean Korman, and Betty played together as children, socialized with their husbands after marriage, and stayed in touch via phone and with visits in their later years. I also met Betty on several occasions and know of her devotion to her family and church and enthusiasm for volunteering. Please take comfort in her life of purpose and love. She is now resting in heavenly peace with your father.

I remember spending summer vacations at her house and the clothes she made for my Barbie dolls. We corresponded throughout the years and I always appreciated her love and encouragement. Although Betty was my aunt (my father's sister), we were so close in age that she was like the sister I never had. My nickname for her was Susie, and she called me Trish. We grew up together and shared many experiences, both as children and as adults. Betty was such a special person and friend. I will miss her greatly.

Dear Amy, Lee and Family, I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. Aunt Betty was a kind, generous, lovely lady. As a young child she and my mother made doll clothing for my baby dolls. When I grew older I spent time with her during summer vacations while she taught me to use a sewing machine to make my own clothing. She had so much patience and love. I am so lucky to have had her as my teacher. May your memories bring you peace during this difficult time.
